Disclaimer: the following list of features are some ideas or suggestions that might be introduced in Voxel Play or not at some point in the future. There's no ETA nor guarantee that these features will be introduced. 


Wish-list:

- Biome blending

- Support arbitrary rotations in custom voxels inside a model definition

- Reflections on certain voxels

- API: new method to convert existing meshes into voxel models (as the terrain converter does with trees)

- Flow / buoyancy effectors

- Add variation to biomes using different vertex colors

- Chunk layer system to allow multiple voxel types or fluids over the same voxel space than primary terrain.

- Weather effects


Delivered:

- Mirror integration (supported while also released a sample project called Pirates of Voxel Play, available on the Unity Asset Store).

- Add support for primitive SDF shapes (cylinder, sphere, torus, ...) (delivered in 7 as function to get VoxelIndices based on SDF functions provided by user)

- Snapshot feature (ability to export meshes and textures) (delivered in 4.3)

- Set world size in World Definition. Avoid generation of chunks beyond this limit (delivered in 4.1)

- Ability to use custom materials instead of default materials (like using a variation of opaque3) (delivered in  4.0)

- Add variation to biomes to allow multiple voxel definitions per biome (delivered as mod - check them on kronnect.com)

- Ability to have models in inventory and place them as normal objects. Highlight zone before placing them (delivered in 3.5)

- Custom observers to keep / force some world areas to be rebuilt / maintained, regardless of current player/camera (delivered in 3.1 through VoxelPlayBehaviour component).

- Make water surface texture visible from below (delivered in 3.0)

- Runtime voxel objects creation/updating capability (delivered in 2.0)

- Color mapping to voxel definitions in Qubicle importer tool (delivered in 2.0)

- POM/Relief mapping shading (delivered in 2.0)

- Improved smooth lighting (delivered in 2.0)

- New render type for transparent textures (delivered in 1.5)

- Voxel outline effect (delivered in 1.4)

- MagicaVoxel import (provided by community, check kronnect.com support forum, thanks to melsov)

- Add random content support to underground in terrain generator (ore support in beta 0.20)

- 3D noise support functions (included in beta 0.20)

- Rotated voxels (included in beta 0.18)

- Improved water animation (included in beta 0.17)

- Point light support (included in beta 0.15)

- Half-sized blocks (included in beta 0.13)

- Optimized A* Path-Finding / NavMesh support (included in beta 0.10)

- Cave system (included in beta 0.9)

- Import Qubicle models (included in beta 0.8)
